Xiaomi India launched the Redmi Pad 2 on June 18, aiming to provide an affordable Android tablet for users seeking a device for productivity, entertainment and education. Powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset—a modest upgrade over the Helio G99—the Redmi Pad 2 promises a smooth, efficient performance while keeping the price accessible.
The tablet features an 11-inch IPS LCD display with a 2.5K resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and brightness levels of up to 600 nits. It also comes with Reading Mode, touch sensitivity even when wet, and TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free viewing, making it more comfortable for extended use. On the back, there’s a large elliptical camera module housing an 8MP sensor.
Running HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, the Redmi Pad 2 offers a connected user experience with features like Call Sync and shared clipboard across Xiaomi devices. Storage options go up to 256GB, with RAM configurations ranging from 4GB to 8GB. Storage is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

A 9,000mAh battery keeps the device running and supports 18W fast charging, although the in-box charger is capped at 15W—meaning users will need to buy a separate charger to take advantage of the full charging speed.
The tablet is compatible with the Redmi Smart Pen, which offers 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and up to 12 hours of usage on a single charge. There’s also an optional Redmi Pad 2 Cover, featuring a built-in stand and smart wake/sleep functionality. However, both accessories are sold separately, priced at Rs 3,999 for the stylus and Rs 1,299 for the cover.
Available in Graphite Grey and Mint colour options, the Redmi Pad 2 can be purchased via Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com and authorised retail stores. The Wi-Fi only variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 13,999. For users seeking 4G connectivity, the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB models are priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively. Xiaomi is also offering up to Rs 1,000 instant discount for HDFC Bank credit card holders.
