Engine and Performance

The FZ-S Fi Hybrid is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 12.4 bhp and 13.3 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox and meets the stricter OBD2B emission standards. Weighing 138kg, it is marginally heavier than the regular FZ-S V4 by 1-2 kg.

Hybrid Technology and Features

The bike’s key highlight is its Starter Motor Generator (SMG), which introduces mild-hybrid technology. This system enables a silent start, automatic engine shutdown in traffic, and quick engine restart with a clutch action. The SMG also offers a brief acceleration boost via a battery-powered motor, enhancing fuel efficiency.

Smart Display and Connectivity

The FZ-S Fi Hybrid features a 4.2-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. It offers turn-by-turn navigation via Google Maps, music control, geo-fencing, and a ‘last parked location’ tracker for added convenience.

Enhanced Comfort and Design

Yamaha has improved the handlebar position for better comfort, updated the horn switch, and redesigned the switchgear for easier use with gloves. The bike is available in two new colours: Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey.
