India has logged 186 new coronavirus infections while the active cases have dipped to 2,501, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Saturday.
The death toll remains at 5,31,888 as of 8 am. The total number of Covid cases in the country stands at 4.49 crore (4,49,92,648), with active cases now comprising only 0.01 percent of the total infections.
The national Covid recovery rate is 98.81 percent, as stated on the health ministry website. A total of 4,44,58,259 individuals have successfully recovered from the disease. The case fatality rate is recorded at 1.18 percent.
Furthermore, the country has administered a total of 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine, according to the ministry’s website. (With inputs from PTI)
