The app also comes with a Coach Position Finder tool, which tells you exactly where your coach will be located on the platform—reducing the last-minute rush and confusion.

RailOne: In a major step towards digitising and streamlining train journeys, Indian Railways has launched a unified mobile application called RailOne. The app, developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), is designed to bring all key railway services under a single digital umbrella—making travel more efficient, convenient, and user-friendly for millions of passengers across the country.

One App for Everything: Ticketing, Tracking, Complaints and More

RailOne eliminates the need for travellers to juggle between multiple railway-related apps by offering a comprehensive platform that covers nearly every aspect of train travel. Whether it’s booking reserved or unreserved tickets, checking real-time train status, tracking PNR updates, ordering meals, or even raising complaints—everything can now be done through this one app. It consolidates services that were previously scattered across various apps like IRCTC Rail Connect, UTSonMobile, National Train Enquiry System (NTES), Rail Madad, and Food on Track.

The app promises a seamless experience from planning your journey to reaching your destination. By integrating these diverse functionalities, Indian Railways aims to reduce confusion, save time, and improve the overall travel experience, especially for those new to train travel or less tech-savvy.

What Sets RailOne Apart

Some standout features that make RailOne a game-changer include the ability to book both reserved and unreserved train tickets across all classes, track the live location of trains including platform and delay details, and receive instant updates on PNR status. A dedicated “My Bookings” section offers complete access to past and upcoming journeys, providing a clear view of your travel history.

The app also comes with a Coach Position Finder tool, which tells you exactly where your coach will be located on the platform—reducing the last-minute rush and confusion. Additionally, passengers can place food orders through verified vendors to have meals delivered directly to their seats during the journey.

In case of cancellations or missed trains, refund processes are made more transparent and trackable within the app itself. Integration with Rail Madad also allows users to file complaints or report issues, with real-time updates on resolution status.

User-Friendly and Inclusive Interface

Ease of use has been at the heart of the RailOne app’s design. With a single login system, passengers no longer need to remember separate usernames and passwords for different platforms. The app supports login credentials from either IRCTC or UTS, unifying access across services.

Moreover, the app supports multiple Indian languages, making it accessible to a wider audience. This multilingual interface ensures that passengers from various linguistic backgrounds can use the app comfortably without relying on others.

Secure Payments Through R-Wallet

RailOne also comes integrated with R-Wallet, Indian Railways’ own digital payment system. Passengers can use this wallet to pay for bookings and onboard services in a secure and hassle-free manner. The app supports authentication through biometric verification or mPIN, enhancing safety and reducing the risk of fraud.

By incorporating a built-in wallet system, the app reduces reliance on third-party payment platforms and provides a dedicated channel for transactions within the railway ecosystem.

Available on Android and iOS Platforms

The RailOne app is free to download and is currently available on both Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (Apple App Store). With a user-friendly interface and a centralised system for all railway-related tasks, the app is expected to become an essential tool for frequent and occasional travellers alike.

Whether you’re booking tickets, managing refunds, checking coach positions, or ordering meals—RailOne puts everything in the palm of your hand.
