Hamdard Institute of International Studies at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, has introduced a flagship undergraduate programme dedicated to the study and research of international studies, global politics, and world affairs for the academic year 2024-25.
The BA course is initiated in response to the growing demand for its MA program in International Studies.
In an official statement, the University announced the introduction of the new program titled B.A. (International Studies and Global Politics), a four-year undergraduate program (FYUGP) spanning eight semesters, with multiple exit-entry options at the end of each year.
“Students have the option to obtain a UG certificate, UG diploma, and UG degree at the end of the first, second, and third years, respectively, provided they meet the minimum credit requirements outlined in the National Education Policy of 2020,” the statement reads.
Students interested in pursuing further studies after completing the three-year UG degree can opt to continue for a fourth year.
“With this, students can pursue an honours degree or an honours degree with research in the field of international studies, contingent upon the submission of a research project or dissertation,” it added.
“The undergraduate program in international studies aims to produce graduates well-versed in crucial aspects of global politics,” the statement highlighted.
The inaugural batch will accommodate 60 students, with an annual tuition fee of ₹50,000. For eligibility criteria, application details, admission procedures, and further information, interested individuals can refer to the official website.
