Featuring an ensemble of nearly 100 talented musicians, including the legendary Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam and the prodigious Ambi Subramaniam, the Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival promises to be a historic and unforgettable experience.
The event is scheduled at Siri Fort auditorium on January 5, 2024, starting at 7 pm.
The centerpiece of the evening is the “Bharat Symphony,” a musical odyssey through India’s history, composed by Dr L Subramaniam himself. Divided into four movements, this symphony weaves together the tapestry of Indian culture:
- The Vedic Period: Drawing inspiration from the ancient Rigveda Samhita.
- The Mughal Period: Infusing Arabian influences and Hindustani music.
- The British Period: Celebrating the orchestral heritage, especially the violin.
- The Modern Period: Culminating with the universal message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.”
Audiences will be treated to “Paris Concerto” and “Spring Rhapsody,” ensuring a night of musical enchantment.
Following the New Delhi performance, the festival will continue its journey to Bangalore, Mysore, and Mumbai, with the tantalising compositions of Dr L Subramaniams.
The entry to the concert is free.
