The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has made a forecast that a new spell rain is expected to occur over northwest India including Delhi on Wednesday night.
The IMD said, “Fresh spell of rain and cloudy weather expected under the influence of a new western disturbance on Wednesday night.”
As of now, Delhi has recorded a minimum temperature of 16.2 degrees Celsius with partly cloudy skies forecasted during the day. The maximum temperature is predicted to be around 33 degrees Celsius. However, the maximum temperature is likely to decrease by three to four degrees Celsius over the next three days.
The weather forecast for the next three days indicates cloudy weather with peak activity expected on Friday. Last week, back-to-back western disturbances over northwest India led to rain and hail in several parts of the region, including the national capital.
Delhi recorded 12.2 mm rainfall in 24 hours ending 8:30 am on Saturday, which is the highest precipitation in a day in March in three years. It remains to be seen if the new western disturbance will result in similar weather conditions. (With inputs from PTI)
