Vivo has launched its latest mid-range smartphone, the Y400 Pro 5G, in India. The new device brings a blend of performance, AI productivity tools, and camera capabilities, highlighted by 90W fast charging and a 50MP Sony sensor.
Price and availability
The Y400 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 256GB model costs Rs 26,999. Pre-orders are open on the Vivo India website, with sales beginning 27 June via Vivo’s site, Flipkart, Amazon, and select retail stores. The phone is available in three colour options: Freestyle White, Fest Gold, and Nebula Purple.
Specifications and features
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 4nm octa-core processor, the device includes 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. It runs on FuntouchOS 15, based on Android 15.
The Y400 Pro features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 3D curved edges, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 4,500 nits peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even in bright light. At 7.49mm thickness (Nebula Purple model), Vivo claims it is the slimmest phone in its class with a curved screen.
Camera and AI tools
The phone sports a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera. Both support 4K video recording.

Camera features include AI Photo Enhance and AI Erase 2.0, while productivity tools such as AI Note Assist, AI Transcript Assist, AI Screen Translation, and AI Superlink are also built in. It supports Google’s Circle to Search, enabling quick access to information via gestures.
Battery and connectivity
The device houses a 5,500mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging, offering rapid power top-ups. Connectivity features include dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, USB Type-C, OTG, and 4G LTE. It also comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
